Invitation to Seminar, 5 October 2016 – Simulators Supporting the Whole Product Lifecycle
We are pleased to invite you to attend a seminar where the leading experts are presenting possibilities, practical examples and benefits of using simulators and virtual technologies throughout the whole product lifecycle.
Smart connected products, including sensors and software, that collect vast amounts of data and form systems of systems are rapidly changing the world of machine builders and users. Repeating the old ways of working is not enough to be successful in the future, instead bold changes and new approaches are needed. One fast-growing new approach is the functional virtual prototypes that can be used throughout the whole product lifecycle. A functional virtual prototype or simulator that is able to simulate the behaviour and use of a real product can be used both in product development to check new technologies or end user feedback and in operator training.
Mevea will organise a seminar where the leading academic and industry experts are presenting the possibilities, practical examples and benefits of using simulators and virtual technologies on Wednesday, 5 October at the Finnish Science Centre Heureka in Vantaa (Navigation address: Kuninkaalantie 7).
There are two presentations focusing on the major transformations taking place in the near future. Matti Sommarberg (Kalmar) is talking about digital technologies available for the machine builders based on his deep industry experience and doctoral dissertation underway. Helen Copnall (Microsoft) is talking about the merging of physical and virtual worlds and technologies behind it such as Microsoft HoloLens.
After the seminar, you are invited to a dinner and networking session at Heureka. In addition, you have the opportunity to test various Mevea simulators. After dinner, we have reserved for you an opportunity to continue networking and discussions at the nearby Sokos Hotel Vantaa.
