Mevea Seminar 2016

Invitation to Seminar, 5th October 2016

We are pleased to invite you to attend a seminar where the leading experts are presenting possibilities, practical examples and benefits when using simulators and virtual technologies during the whole product lifecycle.

Smart connected products including sensors and software, collecting vast amount of data and forming systems of systems are rapidly changing the world of machine builders and users. Repeating the old ways of working is not enough to be successful in the future, instead bold changes and new approaches are needed. One fast growing new approach are functional, virtual prototypes, which can be used during the whole product lifecycle. A functional virtual prototype or simulator which is able to simulate the behaviour and use of real product can be used both in product development to check new technologies or end user feedback and operator training.

Mevea will organize on Wednesday, October 5th at The Finnish Science Centre Heureka in Vantaa a seminar where the leading academic and industry experts are presenting the possibilities, practical examples and benefits when using simulators and virtual technologies.

There are two presentations focusing on the major transformations taking place in the near future. Matti Sommarberg (Kalmar) is talking about digital technologies available for the machine builders based on his deep industry experience and doctoral dissertation work underway. Helen Copnall (Microsoft) is talking about the merging of physical and virtual worlds and technologies behind like Microsoft HoloLens.

After the seminar you are invited to join a dinner and networking session at Heureka. In addition you have possibilities to test various Mevea simulators. After dinner we have reserved for you a possibility to continue networking and discussions at the nearby Sokos Hotel Vantaa.
