Simulator in the classroom education

The Saimaa University of Applied Sciences is an institute of higher education in South-Eastern Finland. They have about 3,000 students and 260 teachers/personnel.

The simulator has increased the students’ understanding of the mechatronic system and interdisciplinary skills.

Challenge:

How to teach the future engineers to understand and design mechatronic systems requiring interdisciplinary skills? How to increase the student motivation?

Solution:

The Saimaa University of Applied Sciences decided to use Mevea Research Pack for academic use and integrate the real-time simulation and simulator into their advanced engineering courses.
