Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) has selected the next-generation training simulators from Mevea to further enhance its port equipment safety and productivity.
Mevea’s next-generation training simulators have a unique approach in the marketplace, because they are based on physics-based digital twin technology. They introduce a completely new level of realism for operator skill development and enable better and faster learning. The signed contract for Hazira and Kattupalli Ports includes training simulators for STS, RTG and MHC cranes and they are adapted according to Adani’s specifications. In addition, it includes mobile equipment training simulators for Reach Stacker, Empty Container Handler, Internal Transfer Vehicle (ITV), Excavator, Dump Truck and Wheel Loader. Operator training with agreed on simulators started in May 2022. Portrucks Equipments Pvt Ltd. with their 20+ years of experience in the port business acted as Mevea’s local partner in India.

The adopting of Mevea’s next-generation training simulators grants considerable business benefits, such as increased operator productivity and equipment safety. Productivity gains from simulator training includes an increased number of moves per hour and freeing up of productive crane capacity otherwise tied up in training. Simulator training also saves the environment and decreases energy usage. Mevea’s physics-based simulators can be used for training and pre-training assessments, pro-active and reactive reassessments, as well as personnel selection and certification. Mevea simulators are also used for assistive & autonomous system development by several equipment manufacturers.
