On May 14-15 VDI Wissensforum organized its 4th international conference in Düsseldorf with three parallel topics: Connected Off-Highway Machines, Electrified Off-Highway Machines and Smart Farming. Together with roughly 300 industry experts, we participated in the conference and the accommodating exhibition.
It was impressive to notice how familiar the digital twin concept was to the audience. The role of digital twin as the enabler of off-highway machine intelligence, connectedness, and electrification has been clearly understood, and several of the conference presentations had a distinct connection to digital twin technology. In the exhibition, we could demonstrate how this technology could then be applied in practice.
